I am attempting to rebuild the Wagner brake distribution block on my 1967 Cougar with drum brakes front and rear. It was working properly until about a year ago when I performed an overdue brake flush. I was able to remove the brass end fitting after soaking in PB Blaster for a couple of hours. The warning lamp switch came out without any issues. However, the piston is not moving after soaking in PB Blaster for 2 days. I have heated it with a heat gun for ~ 5 minutes without any luck. Also, blocked off the ports and tried shop air pressure (160 psi) without any movement. I’ve watched the WCCC video where he talks about pulling it out after threading a small sheetrock screw but was not able to do that. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next. I don’t see any new replacement blocks for drum-drum configurations on NPD, WCCC or CJ Pony Parts websites. Thanks for any ideas you can give me.

Thanks for the response. Grease gun idea worked very nicely. Of course, it took me a couple hours to track down the fittings and grease gun nipple to make it work. However, it came out with only 2 or 3 pulls of the grease gun trigger. The brake distribution block is now rebuilt and will go back in tomorrow. Thanks again.

I agree-getting the fittings and thread pitch right, is the longest part.
