Comments for the giant woman BFG Radial 990 ad said it was from 1967/68 so the timeframe is correct. They were really hyping them and even molded “radial” on the sidewall in white. And the G Cougars had them. Very cool!
Those are some cool looking tires that came originally on the G’s.
There are shops that will shave the factory raised letters on modern tires and add custom lettering.
Would be cool (and expensive) to get a set of, say, Avons and make them look like the original BF Goodrich RADIAL 990 wide tires.
