This looks like just the deal for our fellow CCC member in Australia that recently wrecked his 69.

1969 Cougar for sale.

A friend of mine has fallen on hard times and has to sell his Modified 1969 Cougar. It is a Base model that he had upgraded to XR-7 instruments. They all work, including the tachometer and clock.

with the wheels that are on it now.

He has been working on this Cougar for as long as I have known him, doing upgrades and fixing problems. He was getting ready to rebuild the engine, the original 351W. He had gotten almost ready to remove when his job went away. He tells me it only needs the exhaust unbolted to remove it. He also said it it were put back together it will run. But had excessive blow by when warmed up. The heads were rebuilt by a previous owner. The transmission shifts well and has recently been serviced. New filter, gasket and fresh fluid. He was planning on re-gearing it and has a second 3rd member and a new set of 3.55 gears.

He also said it will need a new head liner and package shelf cover. The carpet is in decent condition, but is faded. Wanting an Eliminator look George had added a set of High back seats from a 70. He installed LED dash lighting in Red and likes it a lot. Included is an extra XR-7 tail light harness to replace the repaired one in the car. It is working fine with a replaced wire though. He has the original White interior that goes with the car.

George tells me the passengers door has previous repairs, but a good one is included. I have seen this Cougar several times, I do not recall seeing any rust problems and do not recall noticing the repair to the passengers door. But George knows it is there and planned to taker of it with the new door.

This Cougar was built at the San Jose assembly plat on about October 8th 1968. It was originally Yellow with the base Black bucket seat interior. With a 2.75 open rear axle and a FMX automatic. And was ordered in the Oakland district.
