Geez, Chris, we live so close yet never met. Bummer. Best of luck with the sale, 32 years is a long time!
Thanks, I’m sure I’ll get the '67 out a bunch more & we’ll run into each other this summer.
UPDATE: The car is slated to cross the block on Sat evening, run # S719.
I’m very glad they gave it a prime time spot, up there with the big dogs!

At least Chris kept it on the road. Remember the guy with the Pontiac G8 (or whatever) that lost it and went off roading? Messed up his new car a bit.

One & the same! But now she’s got repro bias ply tires on restored original wheels w/NOS trim rings, center caps & lug nuts.

We had a pretty good time filming that Cougar episode of American Muscle Car in January of 2005.
Here’s just a couple of the pictures I found in my files.
Some of the Cougars and their owners assembled in the Year One parking lot in Braselton, GA.
The diagnosis underway on Chris’s cat to figure out what was wrong. Year One got the part and installed it for free, as I recall.
The Pontiac GTO (not a G8 as I stated earlier) that lost control and took an off road excursion. They had just finished inspecting for damage and cleaning it back up.
Thanks for posting those pics Scott. We did have an amazing time, but then again, when have a bunch of Cougar guys got together and NOT had a good time? 
I feel like Chuck West and the AMC crew had nearly as much fun as we did that weekend.
The second I lifted off & the damper spun, I knew it because I had no power steering & the alt light came on. My buddy Phil was in the camera truck, and they took him back to Y1 to get the truck/trailer while I pulled the belts & tightened the damper so we could load up.
The Y1 guys tried to be helpful, but called all around and couldn’t find a CJ damper (no surprise there). I finally started asking all the local participants for ideas, and once Stanley Johnson returned from the “GTE shootout” w/Royce, I asked him, he made some calls & found the part. He & I went to get it (a whole 'nother story), and Phil had the car back together in no time.
I think the tire companies did well after everyone got back home replacing rear tires that were worn down just a tad.
Heh, I still have those BFG’s/repop wheels on my '67. At this rate they’ll still have good tread depth when they’re petrified. 
Those tires are more than 14 years old now. I don’t think I would trust them for highway driving.
Me neither, but it’s on the list for spring. Embarrassed to say the '67 hasn’t moved from the garage in 2 years. 
Maybe have some fun burning them off.
Sometimes things get in the way of our hobbies, but eventually we get back around to them.
