The Cougar Club of NJ/PA and the Delmarva Cougar Club have decided to slap the official Prowl designation on this summer’s Carlisle Ford Nationals, June 1-3.
We have a block of rooms all lined up at the lovely Hotel Carlisle, so come join us for our famous parking lot mixers!
What does doing this portend? Reason I ask is I have a suggestion. If the Cougar’s really want to prowl, let me suggest signing up for the Saturday evening downtown parade ($10), my wife and I participated in the first one last year and it was a blast. The procession drove into the center of town and parked three-wide (one row along the L/R curb and one down the middle, we were in the middle). There was a live band and a lot of people. Very enjoyable.

The parade sounds terrific. Hopefully, the weather will be nice.
I plan on being there Thursday so I am at the gates bright and early Friday the 1st.

Hey, everyone - I just called the Hotel Carlisle to book a room for the June 1-3 DCC Prowl with the Cougar Club of New Jersey/Pennsylvania at the Carlisle All-Ford Nats. I haven’t seen much chatter about this, so wanted to make sure everyone knew we have a room block again this year with a special rate of $111.96. To get that rate, ask for a room in the “Cougar Club of New Jersey/Pennsylvania” block. Regular rates are $139, so it’s a decent savings. They told me they had 20 rooms left in the block, so you might want to book now.
Also, the deadline for Carlisle’s “Gate-and-Go” registration is this Monday, April 30. This is the Carlisle pre-registration system that mails you a window sticker ahead of time, so you don’t have to wait in a line when you get there - just drive onto the show field. The $10 pre-regisration savings ($40 now, $50 after) ends Monday, too. Link to register online is:
I am going to whip up an extremely limited run of “Prowl 2012” t-shirts. Old school screen printed on %100 cotton heavy weight shirts.
Gas prices are dropping and the more the merrier so I hope to see some of you there!
I tweaked the “2012 Prowl” logo and got the art all set up for screen printing.
It’s off to the printer later this week.
