Good news! Looks like I finally found an outfit that will do mirror re-silvering reasonable if we send them in 100 at a time. So… We have gathered 137 mirror lenses and will be sending them in next week. I think we will be about $40 to send in your lens and exchange it with one of ours or $95 for one of our complete grade A restored mirrors with no UV damage or rust on the pivot parts. As you may know, the repros are junk… Stay tuned for a how to video on how to remove the lens from the casing without breaking it. Andrew, are you listening?
That’s awesome. On one hot summer day, the glue on my repo rear view mirror let loose and landed on my freshly reupholstered passenger side seat … glue side down. 
I’ve always used Robert (reflections again). Just went to his web site and see he isn’t taking on work and is selling the business. So, this is good news and looks like the cost is the same.

Not sure about the repros being crap though, I have one and it seems to both look correct and seems to work fine too. However, I am always glad to learn things. Are there more than one type of repro out there and maybe I got the better of the two? I want to say mine is Corvex but not 100% sure of that memory.
Yup… Corvex is the repro we all sell. Tap the case of the mirror, notice it is hard plastic instead of vinyl? The day night feature fails prematurely, the glass comes unglued and if you were to leave your car in the direct sun for 3 years (most do not) the housing will crack. GARBAGE!!!

I agree the repros were a POS for the '67 mirrors. I don’t know about other years. The dang thing kept falling down giving me a great view of my console. I had to really tightened the screw to hold it up better and the bracket broke before it was tight enough to hold up the mirror. I finally found a nice used original that only has a very slight stain on the silver, not too noticeable. I hate cheaply made repop crap.
Will good quality, complete passenger side mirrors be available via all this? If so, I’m going to want one of those.

I have a “repo” right mirror on one of my 68. perfect fit & chrome not junk at all.
They are talking about the inside rear view mirror, I believe.
Ah crap. Rear view not side view??? Ok I feel good and dumb now. So the passenger side mirror is still considered great like it says on the WCCC site? Good!
LOL, that is what I was thinking when Don first posted this, too…“I thought he raved about the sideviews…!!!”…Even went to WCCC site to check it…then came back here and re-read the title…DOH!!!
Side view and rear view terminology often get confused, done it myself more than once! Our DS and PS side view mirrors are of good quality, there are no rear view mirrors that are correct for a cougar and of good quality, I don’t care what the other sites say about them, JUNK!
