69/70 Exhaust, hardtop vs convertible

Folks, I think I know the answer to this question, though I thought I would throw it out there for some other opinions. Am I correct it believing that the exhaust systems are the same on the hardtops and the verts? Is this true for factory dual exhaust on a 70?
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I would say so. Even though the convertibles have that extra plate bridging the tranny tunnel, I don’t recall there being a 'vert-specific H pipe.

(no cracks about the tranny tunnel ,T3 :bloated: )

Crack? Tranny? Tunnel?

Awe c’mon. This has to be one of the last things I see before going to bed? This is what nightmares are made of.

LMAO, and to think, I had NOTHING to do with the tranny-tunnelling cracks…

I think I’ll go be sick now, though.

There is just nothing right about that. :puke: :bloated:

C’mon man, I can hear you singing “If loving it is wrong, I don’t wanna be right”…

Suddenly I find myself not able to sing anything, I hope I recover.

I don’t believe they are the same between HT and convt. The H-pipe and tailpipes are the same, but the mid pipes are different. When I ordered mine, I remember the guy asking if HT or Convt, and he said something about there are spots pounded flat, I assume to fit in the transmission tunnel over the convt. brace. If I remember correctly, I got mine here: http://www.waldronexhaust.com

Most commenters that I’ve read suggest buying an H-pipe and letting a custom exhaust shop do the rest. I’d probably go that route if I were to do it again.

P.S. For the love of everything holy, never abbreviate “transmission.”

AMEN!!! Wiser words were never spoken…

^^ Wiser words, IMO…
