I’ve got the entire lower dash out of the 70 Eliminator. What’s the best way to strip it back down, get the rust off and what paint to paint it with??? Any advice appreciated. Also any suggestions while all the dash components are out?
Anyone?
Somebody must have done one. But I have not. But I would think having it glass bead blasted would remove the paint and rust.
Scott, I did some quick searches here and found the following threads that should have a ton of useful info for you…
Steve O restored his '70 not too long ago and documented darn near everything. While his is not an Eliminator, a lot of the details, tips and tricks will probably be useful.

Two other Lower Dash threads that popped up. Good tips in these as well;

Agree - it is best to media blast with a lightweight media, so the graining is retained. Due to long dash length, it won’t fit into a typical bead blast cabinet so I take mine to a professional strip place. Pro-strip in Mesa, AZ. Regards, Scott
