Yes you’re right XR7 vert . He was with the CJ emblem on the scoop when i bought it . The previous owner told me " i want the people know that i have a CJ inside … "
To bad Mercury dont have emblems like Mustangs ( 428 and Cobra Jet ) except for the GTE … So i decide to leave the CJ emblem on the hood scoop , i love it !!!

I’ll give you the most common view of my CJ428. The fist is me approaching in the their mirror then just the back end pulling away.

My Cat, a H-code XR7 with motor 351C-4V and trans. Hurst-Toploader from a Mustang -70. Bought it from Garden Grove CA in 2010.
The Cat had been sitting in a garage from late '80:s to 2010. A low mile car and totally rust free.
I have the rocker mouldings, needs attention or maybe i’ll buy a new set from WCCC. Front end lowered ~2".

I got this shaker From a frend of mine who had this on his 70’ Mustang.
I had a spare hood and i thought why not put it on my Cougar.
I think it looks very nice.
