Beltline weather stripping install question

I hope everyone is having a nice Easter Holiday!

I’d like to learn how others have dealt with the staples used to hold the interior felt sections onto the panels. I have found that this ball joint removal tool does a good job of pushing the staple deep into the felt. Need to think of the best way to bend over and crimp the ends.

Exterior had its challenges, but I was able to figure something out that worked with all the pieces on the car. I deviated from the instructions as I didn’t want to drill any new holes. The hardware is as below however the middle screw made contact with the quarter window frame. I used a lower profile screw and all went smooth afterwards. The Dremel bit is what I used to remove the original rivets.

The doors are next. Any tips or tricks appreciated.

If my memory is correct , i used .032 stainless lockwire instead of staples
Just put it thru two holes and twisted from bèhind with lockwire pliers…cut off excess and fold over

That’s a great idea. I will look into that for the door felts. I found a good solution with a special pair of pilers and it worked well.

I slept on it and somehow remembered that I had bought some fancy pliers a while back. This made it relatively easy to put a bend into the end of the staples.

Here’s the front door with new weather stripping installed. Overall a huge improvement in how the windows function and behave while cruising. I used the same technique to press the staples deep into the fuzzy felt before bending over the leads.
