Brake Boosters?

Anyone have any luck with other that Bendix or Midland brand? If so please add brand you went with.

The 1967 and 1968 Cougars only used the dual diaphragm Midland Brake Booster. In 1969 early Cougars only used the Midland Dual diaphragm brake booster. Around midyear Ford discovered a cheaper Bendix brake booster with a single diaphragm could be substituted, so they did. Late 1969 and all 1970 brake boosters were Bendix brand, as were all 1971 - 1973 brake boosters. What year Cougar do you have?

‘69- my Bendix is gone out- found an OER for 95 at Car iD….

95 is not bad - is it a real one or a repro?

I bought one of the cheap 95 dollar chrome ones to replace my busted original so I could have it rebuilt and put it on the shelf. Had it a year now and it’s still okay. Had to retune the idle mix on my carb because I don’t have a vacuum leak to compensate for anymore.
