Cam timing verification without engine disassembly

This is not great with a stock torque converter and 2.79 rear gear and most likely stock compression. Oh well. Time to pick a new cam.

You need to understand the folks who wrote the description for Crane were writing about how that grind performs in a 350 Chevy. A 289 is a lot smaller and that sort of cam will result in terrible performance at anything less than 6500 RPM.

Yep. It actually ran better than i would have thought possible. I am astonished that any one thought it was a good idea.
