Second times the charm. I was able to pull the boot and retainer washer without pulling the grill. I cleaned everything with some brake cleaner on a rag. And put a new grommet in with a little bit of glue. Put the boot back on and it works great. So great that with the extra vacuum from the fix that the other side didn’t close because of the cover was digging in to hard on the short side of the grill. So I decided to put a new set-up on that side also while I was at it. And a little bit of lube on the grill for now helps it slide. So now I have 2 pods that I don’t think I’ll need to worry about for some time for about $25.
