I found mine on “racingjunk.com”. By accident of cours. I was looking for parts for my project car and stumbled on the new car. Had no intention on buying another until I seen it.
Carolina Trader is real popular here in my area. Then it’s Craig’s list and eBay. Carolina Trader covers a lite bit of everything.

I finished a '68 standard/bench seat project car (back to stock) as a nice daily driver in late 2009. I put it up on craigslist on a regular basis every few weeks so that the ads would not be there all the time and then look desperate. Had a few bites but nothing serious. Then in 2011 I took advantage of the $95 Hemmings deal where you get your ad in one month’s printed version and six months online. A guy in AL saw it, we spoke on the phone a few times, I sent him my maintenance log/receipts and he bought the car. I put it on a transport for him. He called when it arrived and was very happy.
The lessons I learned were: to be patient, and craigslist was not such a great place to sell a nice old car.
