Eliminators on the Market (Jan '12)

Happy New Year Fellahs,

Here is an updated list of '69 and '70 Cougar Eliminators that I’ve found listed for sale on various sites. Most are combed from popular sites (CraigsList, eBay, Hemmings, CarsOnLine).
Of course if you know of an Eliminator for sale please feel free to add it to the list. Or if you have any info / details or other general comments about an Eliminator listed here (or elsewhere) please feel free to pass along that info.

While digging through my old “Eliminator Market” posts I realized I’ve been watching and posting various E-cat findings here for almost 2 years, and collecting the E-cat sales into weekly / monthly threads for almost 1 year. Time flies when you’re having fun

I thought that I might start including links to the older “Market” threads in with the new listings so that folks could find sales history easier ~ especially for cars that have been listed off and on. Also, just because a car is not in the current Market thread does not mean that it is no longer available.

I’ve also been saving almost all of the sale history, pics, etc for the cars listed. Not sure if this sort of thing gets saved by Dave (Eliminator Registrar) and added to the Eliminator Registry database or not.

Nah, most of it is the logistics. Juggling needs with wants, and that sort of thing. Doesn’t help that I have CJ tastes with a 351 budget

Didn’t know if it had changed hands each time the price went up, or what…the “higher” target is a common(at least around here) real estate ploy…if it doesn’t sell at the lower, raise the price for those searching with “min”/“max” dollar values set in their search, and you reach another audience…:shrug:

I think it is the same seller ~ same pics (or at least same driveway) throughout the various ads. Maybe he keeps getting alot of calls on it and is bumping up the price to see where the calls will slowdown, or stop?

Yeah, that one has been available for a few months now. Originally listed on ebay by a private individual, the listing was pulled at the tail end. Then the car showed up at Vanguard for almost $40k. Looks like Vanguard has come down on his price a bit. I think mid to high 20’s would be a more realistic price ~ kinda like the '69 in Orlando. Still a BEAUTIFUL car though, don’t get me wrong. How can you go wrong with a real '70 Eliminator, Orange on black, 351C and a 4speed? LOL! But I think for the price Vanguard is asking, potential buyers will expect a more “correct” car.

Shouldn’t this car have a 8k tach and also, wouldn’t the cowl area be painted body color, not black? Any documents prove the woodgrain dealer installed?

The underside of the cowl is black on all Eliminators. I would like to see the documents on the woodgrain dash option. Never seen one that way.
