Any way to restamp the VIN on a repro Fender apron on my 68 F-Code?

This would constitute VIN tampering in many jurisdictions. I would think twice before doing it.
The location you want to “stamp” is considered “Private VIN Location” Primarily for DMV and theft recovery. The State patrol here “educated” me about the change in 67 to 68 DMV laws and the fact they moved this location outward to hide it from the general public, thus the term “private”. Even though the fender still has the notch in it. Thus the factory moved their stamping outward to hide it.
I am from Germany. It isn’t illegal here as long its well documented. Our DMC prefer to see VINs instead of blanks.
