Did that, w’ll see.
Got worse since I added fluid.
Tried it today and it began to disengage at idling even when warm, so I had to start in 2 then shift to D at 25 MPH.
By precaution, I went to neutral on red lights and now I parked the car until the pan is dropped & filter changed.
Why?? Too much fluid or may be we stayed too long in D while standing on the brakes while checking/filling??
Update: trans was rebuilt. Internal components (aluminum) were disintegrating. Mechanic thinks this may have resulted from the addition of AT 205 Reseal that occured few years back, anyone seen this before?
The good news is it does not slip anymore and holds well in D. However it seems to stick in first gear when cold, untill it warms a little. Looks like this can be minimised when I first shift in 1st, then 2nd, and then D, prior to get moving… any comments on that?
Also it now shifts at higher revs: 15 instead of 10 from 1st to 2nd; and anywhere between 25 and 40 from 2nd to 3rd depending on the load I put on it. Before it was always between 25 and 30. These numbers look OK or are they too high?
