Gearz Cougar

Does anyone know when a new episode featuring the Cougar will air on Gearz? I checked Stacey Davids site and I don’t see anything posted about new episodes. Just curious. Was there a time frame given on a completion for the project?

Those types of shows are mostly for advertising with a little “how to” on the side. He is probably just waiting to sell something.

It is a great way for vendors to get their name out there. That’s how I heard of Don and WCCC. On our way back to CA from NJ, I was thinking about what I would do first after I pulled my car out of storage. We stopped in SLC and got a hotel room. My wife plopped down on the bed and flipped on the TV. Then she said, “Hey Adam, isn’t that like your car”. I was so excited to see it and hear about WCCC. I don’t think I stopped talking about my Cougar for the rest of the trip. When I got to CA, one of the first things I did was place an order with WCCC for a set of styled steel wheels.

I bet Don would like to hear about that. I like the show because he always has great tools that I get to show my wife…

Funny my wife calls me a tool and she gets to see me everyday!

Can’t wait for a new episode too but I wish one of these shows would be about how to build something cool like this on a regular working mans budget so I don’t have the thought all the time of re-mortgaging my house so I can buy the motor or the chrome IFS!

I was going to post about showing my wife a tool, but it’s just too easy.

The Boss9 stuff, while somewhat interesting went from “cool” to “way over the top”. If I were in charge of the production the thing would have a warmed over junkyard 460 and a 4R70W or toploader.
I figure they blew their budget with the Ka$$e Bo$$ conver$ion.

A running wedge beats a Boss on the stand!

Had a satelite dish upgrade Saturday AM, the tech was interested in my Cougar and asked if I knew about the Gearz Cougar? Yup, my finger prints are on that hood, LOL.
He asked me if I knew if Stacey had finished that Cougar yet. Not yet, I said. he said, does he finish any of them? I have been waiting for him to finish or show a new segment on the Dodge Power Wagon, since the Stacey David Truck Show.

The only vehicles I’ve seen him finish were the Copperhead Truck and the slime green Roadster. I’m not including the newer vehicles he’s done bolt-on mods to.

Funny this came up as I went through the different episodes and builds on his site and couldn’t find anything really that was from start to finish. Sad to say but I could really do with a new episode of Overhaulin or something cause at least Foose finished a car in an hour! LOL!

I wish they would do more episodes of Rides. I loved the quality of the stuff they documented

Yes!! That was a very well done show.

I do like how that Cat is always in the background shots and Stacey likes to stand next to it and always refer back to it. Good P R

That stuff doesn’t make the work progress on the car though.

As far as the show I don’t believe I have seen a new episode since they showed Gunner in the what are you working on segment. Brian did you ever get your give aways for having you GT-E shown?
Steven

Yup, I got a nice set of spray guns immediately after the show aired…problem is, I don’t have a project (nor the skillz) that would “fit” me using them yet!

I need to practice on my old Ford Ranger or something

I

Nah, just shoot some “test panels”, and dive in feet first!!! If Mark :poke: (and I) can do it, YOU can, too…

I did that on the first car I painted…head first! :wall: Test panels are a better way to go. Wish I thought about that back in the day. It would have saved a lot of work. All in all my MG-B turned out looking ok for my first paint job.
Steven

I hope they finish the Cat too. It’s way too radical not to finish. Lots of $$$ sitting there and that badass Kaase B9. Nice slick and trick stuff on that build.

Maybe someone should ask Stacy David “What are YOU working on?” :poke:

^ LOL

I don’t know that it’s such a bad thing that the build is creeping along. The car gets more exposure than one that’s done in two episodes, and that means the Cougar gets more exposure.

I’m certain it’s an expensive build. Probably more so than a lot of his others because it’s not just elbow grease and welding/grinding.
