Headlight help needed.

I gonna need some help here, I’ll have to convert the headlights from rhd to lhd to get the car registered here in the UK.
Does anyone know the size of the headlights? Or will simply turn the headlights 180 deg be possible, that should in theory shoot the beam the other way.

cheers

The headlights fit into individual headlight holders or adjusting buckets. They only index one way. Isn’t there enough adjustment to get them to cast the beam slightly to the other side?

Use a QH conversion kit for 5 3/4" headlights that suit RHD cars

Simpler way is to use XJ6 or Rover P6 headlight units from wrecking yard and see if they fir (they should bolt straight in)

Nope - they have to dip to the left

Thanks Leon, you recon these will do the job??

I have the utmost respect for you guys that drive on the wrong side of the road, First, we all know that finding Cougar parts is challenging enough to begin with, and you have to do it from a wacky time zone no less. Then you have to pay dearly for any kind of shipping… And the blessed steering wheel and all of the most important driver bits are still on the wrong side of the car. My one question: can you do all of this while standing on one foot and chewing gum? LOL! Hats off to you guys!

 Its a noble art indeed, once I get the headlight sorted I’m pretty much there, but you’re right tho, things could be simpler.

They should work. Some of the halogens need a bit of metal removed from the hole at the back of the light bucket to fit the bulb cover in. I haven’t used Cibie’s (except on the rally car years ago) so I’m not 100% sure of the fit

Nice one bud, I’ll buy them and see, if they dont fit then I’ll find another way

cheers
