I just bought a 1970 Cougar XR-7 convertible here is the door tag I need help decoding it. Door tag:0F94H562914 76B K380 6F PT PB. I will be selling my 70 Cougar XR-7 hardtop 351W auto trans with 54K miles an replacing it with the convertible.

ok but can you tell me what 76B K380 6F PT PB means it is what is after the vin # on the door tag.
76B = XR7 vert
6F is the interior trim and color
Are you sure the tag you are reading is a door tag or is it the Buck Tag, PT = power top , and PB = power brakes ?

K is the exterior paint code Medium Gold metallic
380 is the rotation number
6F is the interior code Ginger leather and vinyl buckets
PT is power top
PB is power brakes
