If you are near Vancouver there's a 68 being parted out.

So I found this online and spoke to the owner of the salvage yard and it is still there almost complete. I already have first dibs on the dash face (Cluster) and front seats but the rest is all for the taking.

Is Don still looking for a '68 for his son?

I’ll shoot him this link.

Man, that looks in pretty good shape to be parting out…you should snag the whole car, Resto…(sorry, your name is eluding me at the moment!!!)

A Big Ditto,…that interior looks to be in GOOD condition. The dash pad alone could bring $$$.

yeah, sure looks savable to me … I will take the dash pad if you want to get it and ship it to me.

VIN number included in the ad and absence of side markers both tell us this car is a 67 not a 68.

I have to agree with the crowd here, what are we missing that would make someone think that car needs to be parted? It looks a lot better than some I’ve seen people save.

Decent amount of rust visible in pic of driver’s side fender. Maybe floor pans, frame rails, undercarriage in general rusted badly. Maybe a seized engine or shot trans. Who knows. And not one of the more collectible varieties to begin with.

Definitely doesn’t look bad. But it could be a combination of most or all of that stuff that has it where it’s at.

It is the overall condition of the body that counts in my opinion , and you have to get up close to see it , and poke around. I personally wouldn’t go for it, but a good body guy might. The drive train doesn’t matter as much, but it all costs money . I lean in favor of saving the good ones because when they are all gone, it will be sad, and also expensive to continue our hobby.

When I go to pick up the front seats and gauge cluster I will let you know what the overall condition is. I would not buy the complete car as heard he paid $1400 for it so I can imagine what he would want for the whole thing. I think it was sitting in the grass and the whole underside is totally rusted and rear quarters by the trunk drop offs are gone.

Ehh-em, You know, you can never have too many,…nice and straight original dash pads…just saying. Oh, and trunk mouldings,…an extra one of those would be good to have,…Overhead consoles,… they’re cool,…you know, while you’re there anyway. Hey, have a nice pic party,…wish I were there!

Yeah my dash pad is totally warped. I’d love to have a good-quality black one.

I will take the camera and try to get some pics of any good quality parts.
