Allow me to specify: the guy on the left is Phil Parcells, National Cougar Database Manager; the guy on the right is yours truly, Jim Pinkerton (the caretaker of Cougar 1, and other persnickety machines).
JB - it was taken July 2004 when I had the privilege to experience Jim and Elaine’s generous hospitality and see Cougar 1 up close and personal
Congrats Jim, on winning ROTM/TQOTM (good one Jeff ). I would like to share a story how I met Jim for the 1st time. I went to the '07 Nats in Denver (1st Cougar show ever) and it was Friday evening, as I was out in the back parking lot looking at some of the Cats that were out there and as I was walking back down the parking lot a gentleman (didn’t now it was Jim at the time) asked me if I could help him and another gentleman (I can’t remember his name unfortunately) hang a banner. After helping hang the banner, the gentleman introduced himself and it was none other than Mr. Jim Pinkerton himself. I thought how cool was that and then introduced myself to him and saw Cougar 1 in person for the 1st time on Sat.

Thank you gentlemen. There are also quite a few nice stories tied in with cougar 1.
thanks for sharing.
Now wait just a cotton pickin’ minute! I remember watching a video from one of the “car shows” on TNN or Speed or the like, in which one of y’all was interviewed. I don’t remember whether it was Mr Parcells or yourself; but whomever was sportin’ a very well turned out pony-tail, something akin to that worn by Tommy Chong.
I see NO ponytail on either one of you gents, if indeed those are the personages in that particular picture!

OBTW; Congrats and, with no offense to those worthies that have been so honored; whattheheck took us so long to get “The One” up as ROTM???
