June 2012 Ride of the Month Nominations are Now OPEN

I nominate 2NDXRND’s car. I want to see it up close.

I’ll second that.

What a nice lookin’ car. In a nice color too. I like the saddle interior with the W code paint.

I wonder if he uses it to run moonshine, the way it sits up in the back there…this way it’s level when he’s got a trunkfull of hooch. :shh:

I load it up with Leinenkugels beer. Brings the butt down.
Actually, It sit’s MUCH better now. Brought the rear down 2.5" FINALLY got around to swapping the C4 to a WC T5 5 spd. Next up is a rear gear swap. I’m thinking on 3.25.
Thanks for digging on my car. The car was from southern AZ. It truly is one of the CLEANEST Cougars I’ve ever seen.

I guess I better get these nomination threads going a bit quicker!

Our first nomination is in so with out further delay:

This thread is where you will put nominations for

June 2012 Ride of the Month!

All you need to do is to identify the car and the owner. A picture of the car would be helpful if you can locate one.

As a reminder, here is how it works:

You can nominate any Cougar, even your own. All nominations must be seconded.

We will nominate cars until the 25th of the month,
then vote from the 25th to the 1st of the following month, and announce the winner.

A new thread honoring the winner will go up just as quickly afterwards as possible. Then we start all over again.

The winning car will be pictured at the top of the Forums header for the month, and then included in the ROTM calendar.

The CCC.COM Ride of the Month is officially sponsored by:
West Coast Classic Cougars!

ROM Winners get:

Free Shipping on any order in the 48 states or a huge shipping discount on shipping any where else in the world.

A genuine WCCC Tee Shirt

A genuine WCCC Hat

Anything else Don feels like tossing into the box for free. (like packing peanuts or air? LOL!)

Great work on the ride of the month. Big thumbs up for this idea and following through with it each month. Makes the site feel like more of a looked after community. Looking forward to them each and every month.

I guess I should set the thread up a bit earlier? I kind of liked giving the current winner a little bit of time to celebrate before we start voting on the next one. What do you guys think?

Eventually the winners will go into a calendar, We don’t have a year done yet so we are still short a few months.

I am also trying to figure out how to do a Hall of Fame for the really special cars, like the XR7-S prototype, the Eliminator Streep Prototype, and so on. Lots of very cool cars that almost no one knows about.

And also Cougar #1 … probably the rarest of the bunch??

Ummm… guys? To put my driver into this group of incredible cars… WOW! I’m so nervous I may just

I like it even better now that it’s a 5 speed. Does it sag now with a trunkfull of hooch? What springs do you recommend for haulin’ white lightnin’?

I’ve got 3.25’s in R Code, but if I had to do it again I might go with a 3.50 gear - keep me outta trouble on the highway & a little more “oomph” off the line. With a T5 you can pretty much do anything you want with the rear gears.

As rare as the XR-Q ?

I’ll nominate Don’s blue GT-E and Jeff’s green 1970 sunroof.

I’ll second Jeff’s 1970 after seeing it inthe other thread.

x3 on Jeff’s 1970

I’ll second the GT-E because, well it’s a GT-E.
