Leaf Spring front eyebolt question

I’m ordering new eyebolts along with other leaf spring supplies from ESPO for my 69 Cougar XR7 Hardtop 351W with A/C. I’m also ordering the competition/improved handling springs. I was asked if I needed 5" or 6 1/2" front eyebolts. My cougar is stock still running the original leaf spring setup, so which size do I need? I also read that the replacement U-bolts maybe too short for the improved handling leaf springs is that the case? Thank you.

Looking through the MPC for the front eyebolt ( 380328-S ) I found it is the same hardware # from 1967 through 1972. Here is that bolt from AMK:

according to AMK it’s 6 1/2 " and $ 8.00 each.

What is ESPO?

Is it this ? https://www.springsnthings.com/

5-1/2 inch bolt is correct starting in 1968.

To add to this. Ive found a flange bolt was used in 69 & 70. In pic the orig is on the left with a pointed end, possibly to aid installation. AMK

offer something close, tad shorter, no pointed tip AMK# F-368
