I see in the pic from 69 the car had shackles, did it come that way from the factory.
No, I was towing a boat at the time and needed to raise the car a bit. Looks ugly, but then so did the trailer hitch!!

I asked because mine has shackles, didn’t know if it came that way or a PO put them on.
Had a hitch on my 78 Trans Am to tow my snowmobile trailer, looked kinda wierd on that car.
yeah it sure is a great story and a truly nice car, ahh so you where touring around here last year
