OK, for a '74, this is a COOL CAT!

Talk about 70s Pimpin…

im a big fan of that style Cougar. Very nice condition also. It’ll be interesting to see what it fetches.

The lines are really pretty…it’s too bad the bumpers are so rediculous, but they are what they are. This is a really pretty car. Incredible interior, almost too over the top! Is that gathered leather on the dash/instrument panel area?

Talk about clean. Yowsa…

I’ll bet it brings 15 large.

After looking at this Cougar all I can picture is Austin Powers and Foxy sitting in the front seat going back in time.

Nice car; the only thing that just “doesn’t do it for me” is the taillight panel. Never liked that design, especially when it came out on the “Elite” re-badged Gran Torino. IMHO it also stinks on the Cougar. Just sayin’…

I don’t think the “leather” on the instrument cluster is original; but may be wrong. The instrument cluster looks like the “full instrumentation” option with little gauges on the '73 Gran Torino (okay, this is an XR7); which had either “camera case” or woodgrain on the cluster, depending upon trim level. Base models had “big gauge” pockets all the way across, with the A/C vent in the left-most ‘pocket’ and either a clock or a blank plate in the right-most.
(Would have been a great place for a Rocketman tach!)

Door pamels look like '73 Gran with the addition of pull-straps; and the embossed “detail lines” ran horizontally across the panel. In place of the pull straps, you just grabbed onto the top of the door armrest and pulled the door shut.

WOW, talk about a time capsule. Very nice. John

What a shame it wasn’t ordered with the 351CJ and buckets & console interior.
