Parchment Interior options

Thanks Bill.

Yep for '68 that interior pattern with the “basket weave” inserts was known as decor. The reason this trips people up is that this same overall pattern was the standard interior in '67. In '68 they came up with an even more basic / plain pattern which then became the standard interior, which is what I have. The existing “decor” pattern then became an extra-cost option. Part of the effort to lower the entry price of the Cougar in 68.

Andrew I should have looked at this earlier. My '67’s front seats have a mismatch going on, as the driver’s seat is replaced/recovered with some of John’s CC stuff from the Mid/late 90s and it is extremely solid in color. I think your parchment kits for '67 will in fact do me quite well for the new red car!

I was going to do some fancy dying of the other seat from the old pair from John’s and see what I could get done to make it more mottled…but this looks exactly right! Whew…

That said…I only need one seat. If anybody wants to “go in” with me and also just needs one seat cover in Parchment (and for '67 they are reversible for driver/passenger seat) I’d love to save about 165.00

Oh cmon, do both… it’s gonna look weird if you do just one

I still haven’t touched the interior, but need to. It’d make driving it so much more enjoyable if I’m not sitting on crumbling foam, exposed seat springs, and a dash pad that looks like a sine wave. Why’d my son have to pick being a hockey goalie and steal money from the Cougar fund!
