Portland Swap Meet 2012

Is anyone going to Portland Swap Meet this year?? It is less than a week away. Christmas in April is only 6 days away. Hopefully you recieved a tax return because it is time to go blow it on some car parts!!

I will have a booth at the Expo Center - #4575 and a booth at PIR - on the last turn before the dragstrip.

I will have quite a few NOS 1968 Torino parts, some 1934 Ford parts, 1966 T-Bird parts, and Model A parts in my booth. If you are there, stop on by…these next 6 days are going to be so long and crueling…I love the swap meet!!

OK, come on…at least put a Cougar in your WANTED list! :jump3:

Alright…you got me. I guess I didn’t have it on there, for one…running out of space/characters in the signature, two I get to play with BAust’s cars so I get my fix of Cougars every now and then…and finally three…I have located my Cougar, but my friend doesn’t want to sell it…yet, so I guess I am not actively looking at the moment. I have found it, now it’s time to get it. It is a 1970 Eliminator Q-code. - 60,000 miles, taken off the road in 1973 to donate the motor to a 67 Fairlane drag car. My friend has nearly 10 acres of cars and not enough time to do them all, but he sure gives it one heck of a try. He is always buying/selling/trading. He has aquired a massive amount of NOS parts, the drivetrain and other odds and ends for the car…but it is not for sale…

Over the years I have had numerous Cougars…a 1968, 1970, 1971 and a couple of parts car 1967’s…Nothing at the moment, but it’s still good to keep an eye on where things are going, new reproduction parts, how the market is, and people’s new ideas of how to fix or restore difficult parts. I am a member on a number of sites that I don’t own that particular car, but have or reallly want to own one some day. I guess there are worse hobbies in the world…TWO DAYS UNTIL THE SWAP MEET!! OH YEAH!!!

Lin and I will be at PIR on Thursday, and Friday at the Expo Center.

Anybody acquire some new parts this weekend? Any smoking deals? Sell anything??

Here is a list of what I bought…too much. I didn’t sell much…but that’s ok, I didn’t bring much and that is never my main priority.

  • That’s all I can think of at the moment, probably forgot something. I had an awesome time!! 5 days of swap meet doesn’t get much better. In this game the early bird gets the worm and you have to show up early and dig around to find good stuff. Another successful year for sure!! I can’t wait until next year, I have already pre-registered.

Anyone else get any cool stuff??? I did see Scott and Don out hunting but was unable to get their attention…I did see a few others that bought stuff as well that are on this board.
