My power steering worked for the first 12 miles and then quit working. All the components are rebuilt. Before I started the car I did go through the process of bleeding the power steering system with the wheels off the ground and rotating the steering wheel lock to lock dozens of times, then waiting overnight and doing it again.
I did have two hoses reversed on the cylinder underneath the car and the first time I started it of course the wheels wanted to jump to the left I think. I reversed them and like I said it worked great for 12 miles. I’m looking for ideas on what the probable issue is before I tear into anything. I feel like it could be the pump itself. The fluid is still full and there are no leaks in the system. I used type F transmission fluid.
