Power steering/power brake conversion

Does anyone here know/have any experience converting a non-powersteering and/or non-powerbrake 67-68 car to power steering and/or power brakes? Just looking to see how much it would cost or how difficult it would be.

There are way too many variables here to really answer your question. For starters you should tell us if you are working on a 67 or a 68 plus if it a small block or big block car. There are many differences depending upon your answers to those questions. Next you need to tell us if you are only interested in using all original factory parts or if you are open to using aftermarket conversion parts. There are quite a few different aftermarket options available for both the steering and the brakes. Either way if you have some mechanical skills and the tools it should not be very difficult to convert. Access to a lift will make it easier too.

I’m essentially just looking for a general answer, but for sake of ease I’ll just say 68 small block. And I don’t care about using factory parts or not.

For power brakes: diskbrakeswap.com

For Power steering: The Borgeson setup

It will cost you a few k by the time you’re finished. Borgeson is popular and the kit including pump is 1k supplied.
Kentucky Mustang will give you an idea what kits are available at what cost.
I would say Wilwood is the biggest name on pdb conversions. You should be able to keep your original drum spindles, but disc repop spindles are also available.
Leave your rear drums and just upgrade to carbon-kevlar shoes.

Not horrendous on the diy difficulty scale but you’ll need some tools you may not have, and best budget a couple weekends to err on the safe side.
