Recharge A/C System

Hello,

I’m in the final stages of restoring my '69 Cougar and am now focusing on the A/C system. I have all new parts, but would like to know how many ounces of R-12 I will need and how much and what type of mineral oil to use when recharging the system. I am trying to keep this car as original as possible and that’s why I’d like to stick with the original R-12 system. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

So does it need a mineral oil?

Yes, Ester Oil which is compatible with R12. I have it in my York compressor and it works great.
