I think this will serve as an EXCELLENT guide on what NOT to do:

You can also search for other threads by the poster which went more or less the same way.
So now we have a new “decode” for ECI Bob: East Coast Instigator!
LOL, Happy New Year Bill!
Don’t get me wrong, I like Vince, but his (thread/post) history on this topic sort of speaks for itself!
Chris, here’s some advice for you on selling the GT-E. Pay Jeff to detail it, you will not be disappointed, neither will any potential buyers. Ask/plead with Jeff to help write an ad for it and take lots of pictures of good and problem areas on the car. Honesty and integrity are the most important things along with what the car is… A rare super desirable muscle car. Be honest with yourself and your expectations of a sale in this poor economy (your option is to wait out the economy until it is better).
Good luck with it Chris.
Disagree on the economy… Look at what Cougars have done since 2008. Not just at BJ but across the board, at least 3 of the Cougars sold at BJ last year were bought to flip at a higher price. Corvette’s, Camaros, Mopars all way down but many FLM products have held their own and in some cases increased in value. I did not personally see this coming but am not complaining!
Hello,
This is exactly what my company does, so perhaps I can help.
I suggest paying the extra $35 for the pro-pack option, giving you several things that will increase exposure, most importantly being at the top of the
page in search results.
Include videos, not just pictures. We like to have at least one video of the car starting and another of it driving down the road.
The most important thing to remember is unless you’ve sold a lot on ebay your low feedback rating will scare some potential buyers off. People want to
buy from those that have lots of positive feedback. To pay $50 for a company to list the car for you may sound like a waste of money, but if they get you
twice the exposure and a couple more thousand for your car then you would of possibly gotten then it’s money well spent.
Good luck!
Alan
Thanks again for all the great advise everyone. I do appreciate it.
Regards,
Chris
