Want reclining seats in my 68 cougar

I am restoring my 68 cougar and even with the seat extensions it would be so much more comfortable to be able to recline my driver seat…im 6"4 and i feel so cramped…what reclining seats from another car will fit in there without having to modify the mounts very much?..ive seen mods in pictures with reclining seats in them but never knew what car model they came out of.

Look into foxbody mustang seats, BMW 3series seats, and fiero seats as they are pretty popular swaps into classic mustangs and cougars. There are also aftermarket options like TMI that would also work. By the time you find decent take outs then have them recovered you about the price of new seats so keep that in mind while your looking for options.

Late 90s honda prelude…narrow, flat mounting, removable headrest, pass seat goes foeward when back ie moved foreward.
Had 1/4 steel plate cut to a q shape that allowed the honda seats ro mount on the ford pattern
Bolted in with stock hardware

I have Recaro LS seats that came from a 1980 Mustang. I had them, along with the back seat upholstered to match the interior. Recaro Made brackets to mount the seats in my car (1969 XR 7).

Corbeau seats, recovered in leather in the style of Cougar upholstery
