I’ve never seen a Cougar with windlace in the trunk on the pinch welds. Maybe it is just another way to market wind-lace?
Mine had something there when I dismantled it, can’t remember if it was windlace, or heavy tape. I had extra windlace left over from doing the headliner, so went ahead and threw some on the pinchwelds.
Since the lip of the wheel houses are shaped differently I can’t see how the “luggage protectors” would fit.
Thanks for the picture - I was wondering where the Mustang owners were getting the thought that they were installed on the passenger side lip - even though they were not originally
