This appears to be a good video to install and adjust the door glass on a 67/68 Mustang. I assume Cougars are comparable.

Yes, all the parts and procedures are exactly the same between Mustang and Cougar.

So glad you posted this as I’ll be installing my door glass next now that I’ve finished the vent window reconditioning and install of the quarter window assemblies. 
Similar to the way I did mine. I followed Royce’s method of leaving the some of the vent window hardware out. You can get a better angle installing the main glass that way.
