So, is there a way to repair a badly warped dash pad, or do you have to replace it?
It’s quite a pricey part (over $500 from what I’ve found)
Quick answer - really no way to fix or to make look anywhere like factory. Like seats and carpet just another soft part that was not designed to last 50 years
They are pricey, but I found the best price…

I got mine from Summit, but they weren’t on sale when I ordered. Better grab one while they’re “cheap”!
That summit link kinda looks like a mustang dash pad no?
I believe dashes direct are the ones that reproduce the dash pads for the 67-68s not scott drake so make sure you get the right one.
This is one of those items you kinda gotta bite the bullet and spend the cash on. Very rare to have a serviceable original pad now days and without a good looking dash your interior wont look good at all. It sucks but these are the kind of parts that make a cougar much more costly to restore compared to a mustang. Its worth it in the end and you wont regret it.
Thanks for the responses… I’ll have to keep shopping, maybe I’ll catch it on sale sometime?
Just changed jobs, so I apologize for the delay. I haven’t spent any time in the garage in the last few months.
Things will be changing in April
