1967 X-R7 Wheel Bolt Pattern

Here are a few picture as requested. The car was put in storage after I drove it a few times and has been there ever since. Although the car was injected with a rustpreventative when new it does have rust where the vacuum tank was and a few places in the corners of the fenders. The other standard cougar was purchased for my daughter to drive in high school and then restored back by me with Eliminator wing added to the trunck and spoiler to the front after she gradusted fron high school and stated college. Looked pretty cool and took second place to an Eliminater at a Shelby nationals in Tulsa in 1993. It was also put in storage not too long after that.
When she married I told my son-in-law he could someday have my X-R7 to restore so they could have a his and hers Cougar.
I myself went into building a street rod after putting the Cougar in storage and it has won it’s share of awards also over the years.
I could download a few pictures of it also if you would like?

WOW! That is one amazing car! I hope your son in law appreciates what you have there. Please don’t let him turn it into a resto mod of any sort. That car is much too nice and so original… There are thousands of better cars to start with.

Please put up more pics of the other car. Thanks for posting these. That is just an amazing car…

Thanks, I’ve tried to impress on my son-in-law the importance of all the original parts down to things like the original distributer cap I saved to the original “ford” stamped head lights.
I’ll try to find a picture of my daughters “Dan Gurnney Special” Cougar, but will post a few of my old street rod.

OK, found a picture of my daughters Cougar

Picture of my daughter back when the pictureof the Cougar was taken.

That is an absolute work of art in every respect. Bravo!

Trex, Great photos. Thanks for sharing them. I agree with Bill that is way to nice of a Cougar for a restomod.
Steven

Thanks all, they are now in Tulsa with my kids and now their fate lies with them. I’ll be going to Tulsa this weekend for my daughters bithday and I’ll get some picturse of her car showing the "Dan Gurnney dress up kit on the enjine.

Hey Trex, I’m in the Tulsa area…way up north of the city. Hope to see her car floating around town sometime!

Small world, After so many years in storage I do hope she and my son-in-law give it a real good going over before they attempt to drive it. The brakes for sure need a complete re-build from booster to wheel cilinder kits.

OK, here are a few pictures of my daughters Cougar showing the engine dress up kit. Her vinal interior, although original, is not as nice as my old X-R7’s leater interior.
