I will never understand how “someone” can do this. Of course its a quick and dirty way to put an modern radio in a classic car but if I would dare to listen to music rather than pure engine sound, I would put it under the dash or in the trunk… 
We sound like hard core animal rights activists. I sometimes roll my eyes when I see a fund raiser for a half dead animal “put them out of their misery!” And here I am picking ruined parts out of the trash and claiming this should never happen again! What a disease…
