1968 console radio pad

I couldn’t find any posts about this with the search. Has anyone successfully re-fastened the pad to the metal. Don’t remember what I used but it didn’t hold.

I have used 3M # 1357 Contact Cement. I first removed the foam in the area to be glued. Then applied the adhesive and let it dry to the touch. Then stuck it. That was 24 months ago. Still stuck.

Thank you, I will give that a try.

Royce I replaced my 7.5 fuse on my 68 and all my interior, convenience lighting came on but wouldn’t shut off; disconnected the battery, hooked it back up an hour later and now none of them work fuse is still good; where do I start both door switches are new Any help would be appreciated

I used JB plastic weld on mine crzycat but neeed to clip till it sets up

Chances are the headlight switch is rotated to the “ON” position for the interior lamps and your firewall mounted fuse box is rusted so the fuse is not making a good connection.

Another good suggestion, thanks!

Thanks I’ll check tomorrow

Ok cleaned fuse block up a little; working on light switch fine played with drivers switch got it working but theirs no power to the passengers door switch ; I’ll pull the glove box probably in the connection

But while testing things noticed theirs no power on the 2.5 amp fuse either side ???
Thanks again in advance

If you got dash lamps working, then there should be power on each side of the 2.5 amp fuse.
