I installed the front valance after church service this morning. The flash on my phone makes the Ford light gray paint on the valance look white. It really is light gray.

I can’t wait to see pics of this vert on the zone upon completion!

Thanks for the kind words! This project has been slow but it is a labor of love filled with tributes. One of my latest tributes is to my father and grandfather. My father was a general contractor. He was the winning bidder to construct the new Coral Gables Lincoln Mercury in the early to mid 1960’s for Pete Schaffer and his family. My grandfather was the project manager for the dealership. Just after completion of the construction project, the Cougar made its debut. My grandfather purchased a Jamaican yellow 1967 standard. This is how the Cougar bond was embedded in our family. My grandfather’s Cougar became the hand me down “first car” for each of my brothers and myself.

Cool story Steven. Your car is coming along nicely.

My custom XR7G inspired shift pattern plate for the 5 speed transmission and the XR7G console I’m using.

This picture show’s the factory/A.O. Smith XR7G 4 speed shift pattern plate in place on a white console like what I will be installing.

Have a safe and blessed evening.
