Hi good afternoon I have a 68 mercury cougar xr7 my problem is that if I start my car up and then I un do the positive side or negativeterminal the engine should die out but the engine is runing either I unplugged the distributor or go and turn the ignition off not sure what I did wrong. Maybe a wire is hooked up wrong. Maybe need someone to help me out please
Actually you should never disconnect the battery while the engine is running. The most common problem is that it fries the voltage regulator. Why are you doing that?
