1968-Power disc brakes, no pedal feedback

Power disc brakes work, but the brake pedal doesn’t have enough pressure to activate the brake light switch unless the pedal is all the way to the floor. I’ve replaced everything, the symptom is like having to much vacuum pressure from the bendix booster. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

So it is hypersensitive? If so that is a bad booster. Also keep in mind the manual brake switch has a stiff spring and power brake switches have a sensitive spring.

Thank you Don, I will be ordering the new booster tuesday. Nice talking to you!

Hi Don,
The booster was the problem, thank you.
Next question, now I have a leak coming through the the brake light warning switch. Can is replace the switch or does the distribution block need to be replaced? Thanks, Brian

I think you need to rebuild/replace the distribution block. I believe there isn’t supposed to be any brake fluid in the chamber that the warning switch plugs into.

Thanks Steve
