1968 XR-7 GT project for those who like Plastic.

I have had this “Mini Exotics Model Parts” 1968 XR-7 GT model hanging around for years. I decided I am never going to do anything with it. For some reason it does not have the hood! I do not remember if it was missing when I got it. It requires cannibalizing a AMT 1969 Cougar kit. But it looks like most of one is with it. It is also missing wheels. I have an extra 69 AMT hood I will include, but it will need to be trimmed to fit.

Note the box was marked Standard, but the body has XR-7 badges on it.

Note the XR-7, 68 Marker and Cougar Script and for some reason 67 XR-7 Rocker Gills.

68 front marker light and GT on the front fenders.

These are the parts supplied from “Mini Exotics Model Parts”

And the current parts from a AMT 1969 Cougar kit.

I have extra AMT Cougar kit parts, I will look through them, I may be able to throw in a CJ style hood scoop and air cleaner to make this a XR-7 GT CJ. I will add an update later after I have a chance to dig out the rest of my old models and see what I have.

Please make me offers in PM’s I am not looking to get rich here, but have no idea what it is worth with what is mossing and what is here,
Thanks.

Maybe I should have waited an hour or so before putting this up. I went down to the shop and found more parts to include with the Model.

1969 ANT hoods, Hoods Scoop a set of wheels with tires and another steel axle.

Who ever ends up with this may not want to use this set of wheels as they are for a 1969 Eliminator, or Mach 1. But I a including them to make this close to a complete kit.

Hood Scoop sitting on the hood.

The cheep looking Plastic Reproduction 1/25 scale Ram Air assembly.

To go along with the cheep Plastic 428CJ…

It also comes with this non ram air cleaner if one wishes to make it look like a 390.

Sold! Another rare Cougar leaves the states…

Dang. That was quick

One’s got to be fast to beat a Canadian…

Not fast, just fortunate to have a bit of time to look at the forum much earlier than usual (which is around 10 PM Pacific).
