Hi Gavin… yes, we have notified Bill Wquay and the car has been registered. He was VERY helpful with the information he shared about the car and actually, has personally seen the car at, Norwalk Raceway Park in, Norwalk Ohio. The car has since made it’s way to Kalispell, Montana which, is where we live! Forgive me for my delayed response… I’m just figuring out how to navigate this site! haha…
And I thought I was lucky to pick up an S code when I was 19…

OOPS. My first car at 17 was a 68.5. Good thing there were no fender emblems. My Dad said nothing bigger than a 302. He never opened the hood and thought a PO had added the scoop. He laughed that I would take a ‘302’ Cougar to the drag strip.
Here is a functional Cougar hood scoop at the Roush complex in Michigan during the 50th anniversary shin dig. Beautiful cougar!!
Wow, that’s different!
Hey since we are talking about holes in hoods for the scoop. Any recommendation cutting the hole with the hood on the car or off?
That’s Roush’s daughter Susan’s Cougar.
She also has a black W code GT-E.
Lots of cool custom touches on the green one.

I wonder how the hood scoop attaches to the carburetor? The concept is neat and the craftsmanship looks outstanding.
