That would be a parking pass to the Executive parking lot at Plant 2 in Seattle. I don’t remember seeing many, I have seen a couple for the Everett plant.
I was wondering what the one on the deck lid was from. It’s obvious it has been there for a very long time. I have had a couple cars that sold new from Burien Ford including the Green XR-7 I had when I was working for you. But none had that on it. Not proof of anything there, as a lot of people would have removed it.
Correct. Original paint was Diamond Lustre Acrylic Enamel which was a great endurant finish. But they were not clear coated, so the aluminum flake that didn’t settle down into the finish would easily oxidize.
I feel stupid… I realigned the bumper and grille and then decided the dinged tip on the fender extension could be massaged back in place. MISTAKE! I would pay handsomely for a 1968 Caribbean blue fender extension. The 67 aqua is close but no cigar. The underside does not have one blemish from a jack anywhere. Usually the strut rod supports show at least some floor jack creases. It’s missing one of the license plate bumpers but maybe it will show up somewhere… Check out the paper tag on the dif.
Could not stand looking at those black wall tires one more day! Resprayed the wheels, polished the curb rash out of the caps and installed a used set of old tires to give it “that look”. They just don’t look right to me with out the thin whitewalls and thin pinstripes.
You just couldn’t keep your fingers off that little fender extension ding could you?
Looks like you need to shim the hood lip trim down a little with some more washers so it lines up better with the extension trim on the PS.
I’m also curious on the gap between the nose piece and the hood. I’m guessing the nose needs to be adjusted up a bit, or what is the typical gap there? I have mine set pretty close to where it squishes the bumper a bit.
It’s a nice example of a low miles original car and the tires you put on improved the look.
