2 inch rear shoes on the 1969. Wheel cylinder for 2 inch also.
Need shorter drive shaft with 289/302.

1969 manual transmission factory drive shaft might be perfect. If it is from a Cougar.

I put a '69 rear axle assembly in a 1968 XR7-G with 302 / C4. I went to a rear end shop and he let me dig through his spare 9" pinion yokes. I found one that was about 2" shorter than the big block yoke that came on the third member. I swapped out the yoke and installed a new seal and nut. The driveshaft length was then correct but the U - joint was the wrong size. I went to the local auto part store where they let me look through their new U - joints and I found one that worked from a 1970 Camaro with 307 / Turbo 350.
