There is a 1969 Cougar in the new movie El Royale. Pretty nice and fast.
Have you seen the movie?
I’ve only watched the trailer, but the car appears to be a real '69 Eliminator, just missing the stripes for some reason.
Yeah, it has pretty much all the details - except that stripe! Maybe some movie guy thought it was too gaudy?
Stupendous choice in movie cars!
Shows up within the first two seconds of the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7wzBVARwaU
Thanks 68CJ428CAT for tuning us all in. I may go see it on opening night just for the Cougar sighting!
I know I will watch the movie…
I was shocked when I saw the trailer on TV. Had to look it up on Youtube to see the car again.Nice looking car. Wonder if it is a clone just made to look like an Eliminator? I don’t really care, just happy to see a Cougar front and center. I will definitely be going to see the movie. Just curious if anyone on here owns the car??
The trailer is better than the movie. Save your $ and time…wish I had.
I just started watching the movie and couldn’t resist snapping a few good pics and posting them here. Great looking '69. I’m in Alabama so I thought it was also cool that it had an Alabama tag!!!
Wonder how you’d go about finding out the identity of that car…
*Edit: used some Google-fu… and I basically got nuthin’ >.<

Mike, I don’t know but it’s a sharp car. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how a nice 69 would look parked by my 70!!!
It would indeed
I borrowed the DVD from the library. There is much more screen time in the “Making of” special feature which I watched first than the movie itself.
