I have been trying to get my “a” pillar trim correct. My buddy tells me the trim I have is for a 67-68 cougar. I ordered some from WCCC and it is the same trim. My question is that trim does not cover the entire pillar. There is a gap between the trim and the windlace. Is this supposed to be painted and what color for a white interior? Does anybody have a good picture of this? I have looked at 70 trim and it looks like I will have to replace the top windshield trim piece. Thanks for any help.
Just posted a video about that. WCCC
Do you have a link or a title so I can find it?
That is for a 67-68 drip rail removal
For 1969-1970 there are two different styles of A pillar trim. If the car is a standard coupe it will have hard plastic A pillar trim. If the car has the decore interior or is an XR-7 then it will have padded vinyl A pillar trim.

And for the record the padded vinyl A pillar trim is different between a 1967 and a 1968 Cougar. Which in turn is different from the 1969-1970 padded A pillar vinyl trim.
For the original poster Todd if you do not have the trim pieces attached to your car look on the backside along the edge of the colored vinyl for the part number. It could start with C7, C8 or C9. That will tell us what part(s) you actually have.
