1969 Factory-Correct Decal Placement – Need Help

Hello everyone,
I’m looking for the exact original mounting location of the following decals on a 1969 Mercury Cougar (see pictures).
If possible, a photo showing the exact installation location would be greatly appreciated.

  1. POWER DISC BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER DECAL
  2. DECAL EMISSION - 351-2V
  3. DECAL - TIRE PRESSURE
  4. DECAL - SAFETY ACT

Thank you very much for your help!

  1. On the master cylinder lid after you paint the booster and master cylinder semi gloss black
  2. On the LH valve cover just below the oil filler cap
  3. Inside the LH door jam above the latch
  4. In the center of the deck lid. Underside.

Thank you for the quick response. Do you happen to have any pictures of it?

No the text I gave should be sufficient.

The placement was approximant. No two were exactly the same. Just close.

The guys who worked the line were typical. If the decal was close to where the instructions said it was good. The guys were much more interested in beer after work. If the decals made it onto the car at all it is OK.
