1969 M-code Convertible on BAT

Just passing along. Still affordable.

Here’s a link; DSO 46 is the Twin Cities, so not originally a California car

That car should be affordable. Paint bubbling, appears to be a poor paint job, typical of a few thousand (hundred?) dollar job back in the day. The top tearing on the inside. Wrong steering wheel and they cut the door panels for round speakers and who knows what else for that subwoofer. The car makes you want to buy it just to properly align the panels. One of the strut rod brackets is smushed over so she clipped something at one point. Rear valence is dented on both sides. In my opinion it needs some work for anything more than cars and coffee.

Thanks for picking up on my slack - I had clipped the link but forgot to paste it I guess.

I definitely noticed the paint condition. Didn’t seem to fit the description: “Its gleaming white body is as sleek as a dolphin and looks fabulous”

By Dolphin he must mean the pool cleaner. Boy, that car is a bit rough. Gotta love painting right over the wiring harness at the firewall. And the right front fender not even attached at the bottom rear edge. Good luck.

A couple more observations, It is a Midwest car DSO 42. The tire date code shown is from 2003. It will need new tires on day one. and what it that thing on the L/H shock tower brace?

I had noticed the tire date as well. Serves as a “Memorial Day” memory for me - drove 3600 miles from Montana to Florida in 2023 with tires dated July 2000. Who knew? (made it!)

No idea.

Maybe it’s an accessory power point for the police interceptor package:joy:. :beer_mug::beer_mug:

Almost looks like some sort of vacuum tree.

Despite its many flaws and shortcomings, it is now a $10K car; and still has 5 days to go. Tempting me to put mine up…….nah.

Electrical terminal posts.

Yes, I agree. Electrical terminal posts with black wiring separators. Curious thing is that it looks factory?

Sometimes the comments on BAT are so misguided: “Can’t believe it isn’t a Premium listing”. Huh? You’re joking, right?

22.5k as of today. Who knew?

Sold for $29k. A lot of money for a car with that level of fit and finish.

To be honest, suspiciously a lot. Almost too much. Frankly that car needed way too much as a non XR7, non a/c car to go for nearly 30K. I cannot be the only one who knows Cougars well enough to know what the market was and is. Add 5% commission and shipping and you are at 33-34k. Simply does not add up.
